Today is the day! Apple is releasing it’s much touted iOS 5 mobile device operating system. I’ve personally been eagerly waiting this release as it contains some wonderful improvements and feature that will be useful in my day to day business. It’s a free update so no need to concerns yourself about cost. There is already an update for iTunes this morning to help support the new features in iOS 5 and iCloud. Calling all Apple junkies! You’ll be thrilled to hear about iOS5 coming this Fall. Owners of the iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 4, 3rd & 4th generation iPod, as well as both iPad 1 & 2 will be beneficiaries of this iOS release. There is a long list of updates, improvements and sparkly new things. Some of my personal favourites are: Notification Center, iMessage, PC-free and easier access to the camera. This week Apple released an update to their iDevice Operating System, iOS 4.2. iPad owners have been waiting a long time for this update which finally gives them folders, multitasking and some other features iPhone and iPod Touch users have had since the summer. So go fire up iTunes, plug in your iDevice, select it from the “DEVICES” list and hit the “Check for Update” button.
My favourite new feature so far is the ability to stream media content from my iPhone (or iDevice) to my AppleTV and Airport Express. Sweetness!
Netflix brings you unlimited movies & TV episodes for only $7.99 a month!
That’s right! $7.99 a month. For some of us this is the thing we’ve been waiting for. I really enjoy movies and TV but I can often spend way too much time sitting watching instead of planning and doing. To correct this problem we canceled our cable many years ago. I have to add that the cost of cable was also tied for first place on the list of reasons for canceling our cable service.

For all of you out there that have either a photo slideshows or video on your websites this is great news! Many of you may even already use SlideShowPro; if not check it out.
